What is Yoga?

 

Yoga is a 5,000-year-old discipline from India. It is based on an extremely subtle science focusing on bringing harmony between mind and body. It is an art and science of healthy living.

Modern yoga is most commonly associated with the physical practice of asana, a series of stretches and poses often weaved together and accompanied by breathing techniques.  

WHO CAN PRACTICE?

Almost anyone can do it, regardless of age or fitness level.  Yoga is for everyone - not just the young or super bendy!

 In fact, feeling stiff, achy and inflexible is a good reason to start practising yoga.  

It’s good for people with certain health conditions like arthritis or osteoporosis.

Yoga is good for people who haven't been active in a while to get moving again and gradually increase fitness and flexibility.
