SPORTS MASSAGE

Sport massage helps to improve performance and recuperation, aid in recovery from competition, increase range and quality of movement, prevent injury and, if there is an injury, reduces the recovery time. It can be carried out before, during or after playing sport or exercising.
Sports massage can work for anyone who is active, from the recreational athlete to professional athlete. But while it's especially beneficial for those who work out often, it's useful for anyone who exercises even mildly or who suffer from occupational pain and discomfort.

DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE

Deep Tissue Massage works by physically breaking down adhesions in muscles, tendons, and ligaments to relieve pain and restore normal movement. The massage therapist often uses direct deep pressure or friction applied across the grain of the muscles. This direct deep pressure can temporarily produce discomfort or pain. Patients typically describe this as “Good pain” and the results often produce long lasting relief of pain and tension, improved blood circulation and increased range of movement.

PREGNANCY MASSAGE

During pregnancy, mothers-to-be experience dramatic changes that can cause discomfort and exhaustion. Caring a baby inside you for several months creates tension on the back, neck and shoulders. Add to this the sore ankles. And not to mention the mental fatigue! Pregnancy massage is one easy way to ease muscles and joints, improve circulation to relieve you of physical and mental stress. It’s great to give yourself time out to unwind and focus on yourself and your growing baby.
The massage is given to the woman on second and third trimester. There will usually be a pillow for your head and one to support your top knee and ankle, this helps to keep the pelvis in a neutral position.

MANUAL LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE MASSAGE

The Lymphatic system is our front line of defence in fighting bodily infections, detoxifying the body and transporting metabolic wastes, excess water and bacteria out of the body. The Lymphatic Drainage Massage uses light, gentle pressure and rhythmic circular movements to help lymph movement along the drainage corridors and stimulates the lymph nodes cleaning out the system. The Lymphatic Drainage Massage can be very beneficial for people who are prone to and recovering from sore throats, colds, infections, on-going tiredness, excess fluids, low immunity, swollen node and those that have had lymph nodes removed through cancer treatment.

Thoroughly recommend! Have had several sessions now and always look forward to my next...Therapist listens to what I want and works on these areas leaving me totally relaxed throughout and feeling rejuvenated well after the session has ended. So happy to have found someone who can deliver such a great service locally!
